SSTAR was mentioned in the paper following the International Advanced Research Workshop on Transformers.
During the 7th International Advanced Research Workshop on Transformers (ARWtr) in Baiona (Spain), CIRCE presented solid-state transformers and their application.
SSTAR was mentioned as legacy of a previous project. However, SSTAR’s aim is to increase the current operation voltage level of SSTs to enlarge their applications within the energy power sector while improving its performance in a reliable, cost-optimized and sustainable way, placing particular focus on triggering their deployment in the energy distribution and transmission grids.
