DC/AD grid and SST technologies open a discussion with stakeholders from Japan.
Our coordinator CIRCE held last week a workshop at their headquarters.
It was a good occasion to exchange practices and knowledge with our fellow project TIGON. Visitors included stakeholders from CARTIF, CEDER-CIEMAT and NEDO Japan.
The purpose of workshop was to open a discussion about the role of hybrid DC/AC grids and current issues for its implementation. Future standardization and demonstration in Europe and Japan were addressed too since NEDO Japan in interested in replicating this technology of DC/AC hybrid grids in Japan.
During the workshop, SSTAR was presented as well focusing on the SST technology and the differences with TIGON project.
